My Spicy Potato Wedges – Hubby approved

Mmm potatoes :P Hubby’s favorite (only?) vegetable and these, oh these spicy potato wedges are delicious! Crispy and spicy not really hot (if you are careful with the amount of cayenne ;), a flavorful mix of spices.

They are perfect with a steak or a burger!

Spicy Potato Wedges

  • 1 lb Yukon Gold Potatoes (500 gr)
  • 2 tbs plain bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tbs spicy paprika (you can find it in the latin area of your grocery store)
  • 1 pinch sweet paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne powder for mildly spiced potatoes – 1/2 tsp for spicier potatoes
  • salt
  • 4 tbs olive oil

Spicy Potato Wedges Steps

Cut the potatoes in wedges or thick sticks.

Toss them in a pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Boil until just tender, about 3 minutes, and drain.

Sprinkle the olive oil in an oven pan, metal works best, toss the potatoes in and stir well to coat them with oil (picture 1). Sprinkle with some salt and stir again to coat. Now spread the potatoes in the pan.

Mix the spices in a small bowl: plain bread crumbs, spicy paprika, sweet paprika and cayenne pepper (picture 2).

With your fingers sprinkle the spices lightly oven the potatoes (picture 3). Mix and toss in the oven.

Bake for 30 minutes at 380 turning the potatoes after 15 minutes.
