This glass of tiramisu is DE-LI-CI-OUS!! A variation of the classic Tiramisu that can be done in 10 minutes and enjoyed right away. No baking required, just mixing. Perfect for those nights when you need something sinfully sweet to end your dinner, and you need it right away.
The hubby always wants Tiramisu, so one night, after dinner, I quickly prepared this Glass of Tiramisu and surprised him. Well, I also surprised myself, it was to die for! Definitely worth of its own post… plus this way I can remember exactly how I did it and I can repeat it over and over again!
I am not a big fan of coffee so these glasses are coffee-free tiramisu portions. I used Baileys instead. You could also make them alcohol-free, just use milk, or if you like it use coffee.
The following ingredients are enough for 4 glasses of Tiramisu.
Ingredients
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 tbs sugar
- 250 gr mascarpone cheese
- 8 cookies (Bahlsen Leibniz butter biscuits, yellow box)
- 4 tbs Baileys (or coffee or milk for alcohol free)
- cocoa powder to dust
Directions
In a bowl, mix the egg yolks with the sugar until creamy, light and fluffy. They will turn white in the process. An electric hand mixer, or a stand mixer, is ideal for this step.
Add the mascarpone cheese and mix well until there are no more lumps.
Grab 4 glasses, break 2 cookies in each glass (big chunks are ok). Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of Baileys over the cookies. Divide the cream of mascarpone among the glasses. Sprinkle with some cocoa powder.
If you chill the glasses before serving the cookies will soften and the cream thicken. But you can as well serve them right away. Both ways are delicious!
Enjoy! We did… very very much!
